“Let it Be” by the Weirdest Celeb Choir Ever

If you’ve been on the internet over the past few days, you’ve most likely already seen this. If not, enjoy this bizarre video of countless celebrities, many of them washed up B-Level stars, singing The Beatles’ “Let it Be” to promote a Norwegian TV show called Gylne Tider (Golden Times).

Look at that line-up of stars! Jason Alexander from Seinfeld! Ricki Lake! Glenn Close of Damages fame! Huey Lewis (who, in a related matter, should change his band name to Huey Lewis and the Old News)! Inadequate replacement for Sean Connery in the James Bond movies Roger Moore! Judd Nelson from The Breakfast Club! That guy from Police Academy! Theo from The Cosby Show! Those are just a few of the blast from the past celebs who make cameos in this extended promo/best music video ever. Oh and of course Dee Snider from 80’s hair band Twisted Sister and his own reality show Growing Up Twisted, because he doesn’t pass on anything. I believe he would write this blog post if I emailed him.

So how did a Norwegian show about interviewing stars from years ago, which it just so happens most Americans have never heard of, get all these stars to sing Let it Be in front of a green screen for a commercial? Turns out they may have bent the truth a bit! David Faustino (aka Bud Bundy from Married… with Children) claims he was pulled aside by the crew for an interview at a red carpet event, and following the interview they asked him to take part in a charity music video they were recording. Maybe in Norway TV shows are considered charities? Also, what red carpet is Bud Bundy walking down these days?  Maybe he works at a carpet store.

Hammertime on A&E starring M.C. Hammer

Back in February, we posted news that lovable late-’90s rapper M.C. Hammer would be starring in his own reality show, pegged the reality version of The Cosby Show.

Well, it’s called Hammertime, it’s debuting on A&E June 14th, and we’ve got a sneak peek:

Looks like one big party if you ask me.  Pretty adorable, right?

Will you be watching?

Gosh, this is great. The cast of The Cosby Show reunited on The Today Show this morning after 25 years.

This gets me feeling pretty nostalgic.  Let’s not ruin this moment with words, people.

Keisha Knight PulliamSheesh.  Another one?

The Oxygen network is reportedly working on a reality show with Keshia Knight Pulliam about her life with live-in boyfriend Kaseem Penn, an Atlanta-based entrepreneur.  It’ll be called Keshia and Kaseem.

Who Keshia?  Well, you might recognize her as adorable little Rudy Huxtable from The Cosby Show.  So glad she grew up cute (which is more than I can say for YOU, Raven Symone!).

I dunno about y’all, but I’m not really interested in watching this one.  I’ve got too many shows on my plate already!  Besides, what has Rudy done for me lately?

The only way they’d get me to watch was if the show explored the relationship between Rudy and Kenny.

There was some serious sexual tension up in that piece!

East vs. West: TV Show Showdown

This is pretty awesome.  Some dude named Dan Meth made a map pinpointing where American shows live:

U.S.A. Sitcom Map

Snooty old New York gets its own map.

This shizz is ripe for a decent East Coast vs. West Coast rivarly.  Shoot, this is better than pop vs. soda!

Who would win?  Including New York, we’ve got The Cosby Show, Seinfeld, 30 Rock, Family Guy, Cheers, Boy Meets World, and Murphy Brown on the East, up against the West’s The Wonder Years, Full House, Twin Peaks, Arrested Development, Baywatch, ALF, and Grey’s Anatomy, just to give you a taste.

It pains me to say it, but I think the East may have it.  Erin does always say I like that East Coast humor.  So sue me!

U Can’t Touch This: MC Hammer’s Comeback!

Yeah!  Late ’90s/early ’90s rapper MC Hammer is following in the footsteps of musical has-beens Flavor Flav (Flavor of Love) and Bret Michaels (Rock of Love) and getting his own reality show.

It’ll be called Hammertime.  Doi.

Each half-hour episode will follow the daily lives of Hammer and his fam - one wife and five kids, to be exact - in Oakland, California.  Executive producer J.D. Roth claims the show will be similar to an unscripted version of The Cosby Show, which I find hard to believe, because Dr. Huxtable was an MD, not an MC.

It’s been picked up by A&E and will be produced by the makers of The Biggest Loser and Beauty and the Geek.

I don’t know what y’all think, but in my opinion, this show sounds like it might be really good.  Actually, I’d say the idea was…

The Cosby Show: Denise HuxtableGood news!  Finally, we found SOMEBODY who’ll be friends with Bronx Mowgli, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s kid!

Lisa Bonet (Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show!) and baby daddy Jason Momoa (of Stargate Atlantis) have given birth to a boy and named him Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha.

Yeah, the kid’s legal, bonafide, says-so-on-the-birth-certificate name is Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha. I’ll give 100 Puddin’ Pops to anyone who can say that three times fast.

Don’t quote me on that.  Congrats, Lisa and Jason!
