Michael Cera in Revolt

Hey - I’m DYING to know - WHAT has Michael Cera been up to?

Shooting off at the mouth, that’s what!  I just came across a new, raunch-ridden trailer for Cera’s upcoming film, Youth in Revolt.  This sucker’s NSFW, so put your headphones on and make sure to look over your shoulder before turning this bad boy on:

Whoa!  Surely, this is a side of Michael Cera we never saw on Arrested Development (and all those films where he plays the same guy).  George Michael Bluth would never propose that he tickle someone’s belly button and all that such and such.  What a fun, sexy time for Michael Cera, I guess.

What do you think of the trailer? Does this movie look terrible or awesome?  There’s no way it’s somewhere in between.

Saturday Night Live’s Jenny Slate Swears In

I’m sure you’ve all seen this in one place or another today!

New Saturday Night Live cast member Jenny Slate dropped an F-bomb on this weekend’s season premiere (hosted by Megan Fox, with musical guest U2).  Here’s the clip, somewhat NSFW:

Oopsies!  I’m on live television!  I love her puffed-out I-made-a-mistake cheeks.

But don’t worry, everybody, big man in charge at SNL Lorne Michaels ain’t mad at her.  Here’s what he had to say:

“It was literally her first time on the show. There was nothing dirty, just a slip of the tongue. It was ‘frickin’, frickin’, frickin’ ‘ and then boom! The pain that Jenny is going through is, I’m sure, considerably worse than that experienced by anybody who saw it.”

Heh.  Kinda being a drama queen there, Lorne, but I’ll take it.

I’m seeing this as more of a fun viral video moment of the week than an actual big deal.  Hopefully Slate sees it the same way.  Poor girl!

I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Muppets

OH NO THEY DIDN’T!  WARNING: NSFW!

At the risk of sounding totally uncultured… what the fudge is this?!?!

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

Oy vey!  I finally understand what it’s like to care about animal rights.  Sup, PETA?

Per DListed, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Paris fashion show this week featured heads n bits from everyone’s favorite characters from  The Muppet ShowClick through the whole series to see Kermit, Fozzie, and Animal all cut up and slapped together in the name of fashion.  Thank GOODNESS no Muppet Babies were harmed.

Notably missing: Miss Piggy and Gonzo.  Could they be behind this?

Hmph.  If I were Statler attending this particular fashion show, I’d break the fourth wall from my balcony seat and direct the following question to the audience:  “Hey! Did anyone order the frog’s legs, well done?”

And then my cohort Waldorf would be all, “Well done?! Looks pretty lousy to me!”

The Muppet Show: Statler and Waldorf
BADUM-CHHHH!!!

Happy Friday to ya!

Michael Cera Melts It Down and Spoofs It Up

Posted by KAT in Arrested Development

In the grand tradition of letting you know what Michael Cera is doing AS WE SPEAK, I’ve decided, against my better judgment, that it is important that I post this non-funny.

Arrested Development qt Mike C strapped on his LOLerskates and slapped together what I think to be a spoof of the Christian Bale freakout that hit the web last week:

For anyone who hasn’t heard, Bale went on a big ole angry tirade on the set of the new Terminator movie after a cinematographer broke his concentration during a scene.  Audio of the F-bomb-fueled rant has since been posted all over the internets and spoofed and remixed and mashed up and down all over town.  Heck, they even mashed Bale up with David After Dentist!

Michael Cera’s Bale-out on the set of Youth in Revolt is likely just a well-timed piece of viral marketing.  Not the funniest, I’d say.  And like, sorta played out.

Is it silly to call something that happened last week played out?  No. Cuz seriously, Michael Cera, Christian Bale spoofs are sooOOoo last week.  This is what you’re doing whilst not filming Arrested Development: The Movie?!  Why don’t you like, do a spot-on impression of Sarah Palin and then debate the merits of the American Office vs. British Office, and top it off with a convo re: how The Hills is TOTALLY FAKE??!?!

Those are all things that are played out, people.  But you know what isn’t?  Loving Michael Cera unconditionally.  Still do, regardless of the above.

What do you think he’s up to RIGHT NOW?

How I Met Your Heidi & Spencer

Heidi and Spencer on How I Met Your MotherIt was reported a while back that reality TV’s slimiest duo, The Hills’s Heidi and Spencer, would be guest starring on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother.

Speidi will play caricatures of themselves, taunting Jason Segel’s character Marshall from the cover of a fictional celeb gossip magazine, Them Weekly.

Us Weekly released a sneak peek of the episode today.  Peep the screenshot to your right. LOLZ –>

Us also confirmed January 12th as the episode’s airdate.

Heh.  Now, I don’t know about you, but the thought of a Speidi caricature blows my mind.  How could they possibly exaggerate their Speidi-ness more than they already do? Have you seen their latest round of publicity pics?  The honeymoon ones were particularly confusing, in an is-this-SFW-or-NSFW? kind of way.

Ugh.  Don’t forget to tune in.  Or do.  I can’t decide.
