Office Gossip: Male Prima Donna By Subtle Sexuality

If you watched The Office last night, you may have caught the split-second teaser for the Subtle Sexuality music video, available online.

“Whazat?” I asked myself, and decided to check it out.  Peep the video for “Male Prima Donna” featuring ‘Nard Dog and introducing Mr. Understood:



Kelly Kapoor, Erin Hannon, Andy Bernard, and Ryan Howard are moonlighting as pop stars!

Pretty bizarre, right?  Seems like a confusing after-school project, but somehow, it works.  I’ve always enjoyed Kelly’s relationship with Ryan (and everything about Mindy Kaling in general) and hope to see more of these videos pop up.

Perhaps one with Meredith?  She’s got things to say.

Office Gossip: Mindy Kaling Gets Her Own Show

The Office: Mindy KalingExciting news this morning!  Mindy Kaling, a.k.a Kelly Kapoor on The Office, has signed a new development deal with NBC and Universal Media Studios!

Under the terms of the deal, Kaling will continue to write for and appear on The Office next season while simultaneously developing a comedy of her own.  She’s interested in possibly doing a buddy show à la Flight of the Conchords, or perhaps a series about women.

Flight of the Conchords… FOR GIRLS?!  Starring Mindy Kaling?  Sign me up!

I’ve been into Mindy Kaling since The Office started, so this news has got me pretty excited.  Love her tweets, love Kelly Kapoor, love her shopping blog.  Kaling’s brand of subtle, slightly obnoxious humor is right up my alley.  In fact, I think me and Mindy Kaling could be the best of friends.

Mindy Kaling, call me the eff up already so we can effing BFF the eff up already.

The Office Remembers Its Roots

Apparently Creed Bratton, who plays creepy old dude Creed Bratton on The Office, was the back-up guitarist in The Grass Roots, a late-60s rock band.  Take a look:

Ooh la la!  With those Roman features, he would’ve made a good Spartacus.  Step aside, Kirk Douglas!

Oh, and speaking of creeps on The Office, Mindy Kaling, who plays the amazing Kelly Kapoor, apparently has a blog called Things I Bought That I Love wherein she discusses (do I really need to spell this out?) things she The Office: Kelly Kapoorbought that she loves.

I actually quite enjoyed reading the blog, but I’m thinking it’s not for everyone.  Mindy Kaling’s like your friend who everyone thinks is really annoying and you have to explain to them that she’s kind of dumb, but in a really smart way.  And then lo and behold, 4 months later, everyone’s all over her friendship like white on rice and you’re SO ANNOYED!

Never forget this moment, Mindy Kaling.
