OMFG! OMFG! OMFG!
So pardon all the unecessary Fs, but I pretty much just vomited in my mouth a little bit, that’s how crazy this news is to me. I’ve got a serious case of the cringey stinkface as I write this, and that ain’t pretty.
Basically, my world has been turned upside down! Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who play bro and sis Dexter and Deborah Morgan on Showtime’s Dexter have just announced that they’ve not only been quietly dating for a year and a half, but eloped on New Year’s Eve to boot!

Ugh. I haven’t felt this confused since I read One Hundred Years of Solitude.
But ewww, right? As a big fan of Dexter (not to mention Hall’s other hit, Six Feet Under), I’ll never watch the show again without looking out for some friendly bro/sis canoodling. A coquettish glint of the eye, a flirty smile, perhaps a playful hand on the small of a back…
It just ain’t right! Have some restraint, Morgans! You don’t see me going around flirting with MY sister, and she’s cute as a button!
I actually think the producers should’ve taken matters into their own hands and asked the pair to keep their relationship private, to keep fans like me happy. You know, like when members of boy bands pretend they’re not gay so the girl fans can keep crushin’.
They’re all gay, girls. They’re all gay.
Whatevs. Hard-bodied Hall and coat-hanger-shouldered Carpenter plan on walking the red carpet together at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. It’ll be their first time publicly acknowledging their relationship, so look out for that!
Kudos to Pink Is The New Blog for the sweet visual.
