Oh my goodness!  Not since I came across those Golden Girls dolls have I been this excited!

This amazing Flickr user has constructed dioramas depicting studio sets of old television shows.  You really need to see each one.  Here’s The Golden Girls set as a teaser:

Other shows included are The Facts of Life, Roseanne, Designing Women, Cheers, The Price is Right, and more.  Pretty incredible.  Click here to see the rest.

What set would you like to see miniaturized?  My first instinct was Murphy Brown, for some reason, but on second thought, it’s all about the Peach Pit from Beverly Hills, 90210 (orig, duh) for me.

That, or Night Court.  Slap a mini Judge Harry in there and we’re cookin’ with gas.

East vs. West: TV Show Showdown

This is pretty awesome.  Some dude named Dan Meth made a map pinpointing where American shows live:

U.S.A. Sitcom Map

Snooty old New York gets its own map.

This shizz is ripe for a decent East Coast vs. West Coast rivarly.  Shoot, this is better than pop vs. soda!

Who would win?  Including New York, we’ve got The Cosby Show, Seinfeld, 30 Rock, Family Guy, Cheers, Boy Meets World, and Murphy Brown on the East, up against the West’s The Wonder Years, Full House, Twin Peaks, Arrested Development, Baywatch, ALF, and Grey’s Anatomy, just to give you a taste.

It pains me to say it, but I think the East may have it.  Erin does always say I like that East Coast humor.  So sue me!
