Bret Michaels Joins Celebrity Apprentice 3 Cast!

Oh my goodness, you guys!!!  I haven’t heard news this exciting in a while!  I literally gasped when I read the news!

Looks like my man Bret Michaels will be on the next season of Celebrity Apprentice!  The Poison frontman and Rock of Love / Rock of Love 2 / Rock of Love Bus (ha!) reality star will be duking it out again his fellow near-celebs to win Donald Trump’s respect and some dolla billz for the charity of his choice.

The New York Post put out a list of castmembers before NBC could even get to it.  Here’s what they have in store for us:

* Sharon Osbourne (America’s Got Talent)
* Cyndi Lauper (”Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”!)
* Carol Leifer (Seinfeld writer, Elaine was based on her)
* Bill Goldberg (wrestler)
* Daryl Strawberry (baseball dude)
* Curtis Stone (Aussie celebrity chef)
* Summer Sanders (Olympic gold medal swimmer)
* Sinbad (comedian!)
* Holly Robinson Peete (Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper?)
* Maria Canellis (wrestler)
* Rod Blagojevich (disgraced Illinois gov!)

The return of Blago!  The real Elaine!  Wrestling!  What do you think?  Will you be watching?

Does America Got Enough Talent to Impress?

Anyone going to watch tonight’s 2-hour season premiere of America’s Got Talent (9pm, NBC)? After the tsunami of excitement over Britain’s Got Talent discovery, Susan Boyle, I expect we ‘mericans will be keeping our eyes peeled for our own diamond in the rough.

NBC and AGT’s producers are definitely riding BGT’s coattails hoping for a ratings boost. For example, check out this heartstring-pullin’ ad featuring doe-eyed siblings who began singing together while keeping vigil at their mother’s hospital bedside after she was hit by a drunk driver:

*sniff* Ok, I admit that kinda got to me. There’s also been a more recent promo that milks the Susan Boyle-effect for everything it’s got. (Notice how they fail to mention Ms. Boyle’s nervous breakdowns and poor attendance during BGT’s current summer tour.)

I doubt America’s Got Talent can recreate the Susan Boyle phenomenon and (IMHO) the show is a far cry from the entertainment level of American Idol or So You Think You Can Dance - not to mention David Hasselhoff is a poor, pooooor man’s Simon Cowell… but you know what? I’ll be watching anyway!
