VH1 Reality TV Rocks My Socks

YOU GUYS.  How stoked are you about the newest seasons of Celebrity Fit Club and Tool Academy?  Though VH1 has had some missteps (Megan Wants a Millionaire, for starters, which featured not only grody Sex Toy Dave from Bravo TV’s Millionaire Matchmaker, but also a murderer!), their reality programming takes serious cojones to pull off.  And clearly, I watch too much reality television.  Anyway.

Let’s talk Celebrity Fit Club. This show combines some of my favorite reality television situations: celebrities, weight loss, and empowerment (unfortunately not much catty backstabbing so far!).  This year’s contestants (celebustants? Contestuties? Whatever) are fabulous—and most of them are bona fide celebrities!.  Let’s do the rundown:

shar jackson celeb fit clubShar Jackson: Well known for her role on Moesha.  She is arguably better known due to her baby daddy Keven Federline ditching her for Britney Spears while Shar was pregnant with their second child.

Kevin Federline: Um, see above, for one thing.  K-Fed (K-Fat, as he is currently known) was a back-up dancer for Mizz Spears.  No longer dancing for whatever reason, he is currently just a fatso freeloader.  Who is apparently depressed (perhaps because he is famous for his relationships rather than his dancing?).

Tanisha Thomas: Reality star of The Bad Girls Club Season 2.  Known for having a bad temper and a big mouth, she gives excellent sound bites and reactions.  Also has the dubious distinction of being 47% fat.  Whoa.  She seems to be doing the reality star circuit, with appearances on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, The Soup, and The Tyra Banks Show (wonder how Tyra made that one all about herself?).

kaycee stroh celeb fit clubKaycee Stroh: The fat girl from High School Musical wants to eschew the curvaceous bod that helped catapult her to fame, and become a svelte siren adored by Hollywood.  Um, Kaycee: you are only famous to preteens.  Just get a sidekick role on a Disney Channel show and you’ll do fine.

Bobby Brown: If you can find an episode, Being Bobby Brown (here’s a clip) will tell you everything you need to know (and more) about the former lead singer of New Edition and former husband of Whitney Houston.  He seems to have kicked his drug habit, but definitely not his drinking problem.

nicole eggert celeb fit clubNicole Eggert: I love how she is alternately captioned as being on Baywatch and as on Charles in Charge!  She has definitely had work done.  She is not really fat, although I’m used to The Biggest Loser kind of fat, so really the only fat person on this show is…K-Fat.  Seems to be a bit of a drinker, much like Bobby Brown.

Sebastian Bach: “Nobody likes a fat rock star.”  I do!  Sebastian Bach, lead singer of Skid Row, seems to still be going strong.  He’s someone I don’t know too much about, but I like him.  I think, much like Mr. Bret Michaels, Mr. Bach can be startlingly self-aware.

jay mccaroll celeb fit clubJay McCarroll: The first ever winner of Project Runway.  He beat out Kara Saun and the infamous love-to-hate-her Wendy Pepper to take the crown, the money, and the car.  It’s just like winning a pageant!  He gives good voiceover and sound bites.  I hope he wins.

2 episodes in, and I’m hooked.  Actual celebrities, y’all!  Shar Jackson and Kevin Federline!  Although K-Fat is less interesting to me than Shar, he is (in Nicole’s words) the “elephant in the room no one is talking about.”  For real!  Jay McCarroll has defo lost weight since he was on ProRun (and seems a bit more down-to-earth, perhaps?), and is so awesome that Harvey E. Walden IV picked him as Team Leader of the Red Team!  Kaycee Stroh is Team Leader for Blue, and, as we found out, got married 9 months ago and somehow gained 50 (did I hear that right?!) pounds since then!  Holy moly!

And, for realzos, the best thing about this season so far?  No Screech.  New episodes run every Monday at 9/8c.  Watch it so I’m not alone!

Regarding the newest season of Tool Academy: did you know there are female Tools?  More on that another time!

Reality television.  I do loves it.

Okay, I have a little secret that i can’t keep any longer. I came across something fairly clever. This is something that you will get started with right away and better yet, see the outcomes within hours. It could be completed from anywhere in the world and does not call for any specialized abilities. No, you don’t even need to have a website and you also do not have to rely on Google for anything. Okay, I will share it with you. Go ahead and take a look… http://cash411.info/24hourcash

certainly like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling issues and I in finding it very bothersome to tell the truth on the other hand I’ll surely come again again.
