Golden Girl Rue McClanahan Cancels SF Appearance

Oh noes! Blanche Devereaux isn’t feeling so well!
Golden Girls alum Rue McClanahan had to cancel her November 14th appearance at the Castro Theatre right here in San Francisco due to heart problems!
The appearance was all part of a tribute to the actress, with a full on-stage interview and partial proceeds going to the AIDS Housing Alliance.
But no more! Here’s what poor Rue had to say about her cancellation:
“My darlings, I’m just devastated that I am going to have to miss my own tribute at the Castro Theatre. Unfortunately, my doctor has laid down the law, and I’m currently having some maintenance on the old ticker. Trust me, I’d much rather be in San Francisco having fun and being adored by all of you.”
Aw. Get better quick, Miss Blanche Devereaux! I just couldn’t bear the thought of another Golden Girls casualty anytime soon.
