Mayim Bialik’s Back! But Not as Blossom…

Aw, man! When I saw the headline “Blossom Returns to TV” on Perez this afternoon, I just about fell out of my seat. But alas, Perezzers was just teasing
In actuality, Mayim Bialik will NOT be returning to television as the loveable Blossom Russo. She’s got bigger fish to fry.
More specifically, she’ll be getting a style makeover on the upcoming season premiere of What Not to Wear, May 29th on TLC. Stacy London and Clinton Kelly will be updating Mayim’s hippie-boho chic look for 2k9. Homegirl’s tired of being frumpy! Time to throw away those sunflower hats, girl.
Fans of of Blossom have probably noticed that Mayim’s been pretty M.I.A. lately. Now 33-years-old, she got her B.A. in neuroscience, Hebrew, and Jewish studies at UCLA., then went on to complete the school’s PhD program in neuroscience in 2008. Smart cookie - and she’s got two kids to boot!
Mayim appeared in a few things here and there, perhaps most notably guest roles on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Fat Actress, and Bones, and does have some interest in getting back into acting, per a January interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Sigh. We know that Mayim’s all fine and good, but WHAT is Blossom up to? Reunion special, plz.
