Kristin Cavallari To Conquer The Hills

Uh oh! The bitch is back!
For weeks, rumors have been circulating that Laguna Beach star and Brody Jenner ex Kristin Cavallari would be joining the cast of The Hills next season, to replace departing Lauren Conrad. Today, in an exclusive interview, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Cavallari would be joining the show, starting with May 31st’s season finale, Heidi and Spencer’s wedding. Fitting - she actually introduced the two!
Now, you really should buck up and read the whole interview, but in the meantime, here are some key quotes from Ms. C:
“It’s a TV show. I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work! And drama sells. I think that’s why they’re bringing me in, because I know what works.”
“I’m a completely different person than Lauren. I have a lot more energy. I’m more outgoing. I’m a little more spontaneous. And she has a boyfriend so she’s not dating on the show. I’m very open to dating and finding a guy.”
She’s gonna shake things up, got it? I’ve gotta say, I find her perspective somewhat refreshing. In contrast to LC’s “This is my REAL LIFE,” KC’s “Yeah, I’ll start some drama, it makes for good TV” seems much more honest. Thoughts?
In any case, I think we can all agree Kristin Cavallari will definitely spice things up in a way that Lauren Conrad couldn’t. US Weekly even took down Hills cast member reactions. My favorite, from Stephanie Pratt:
“I’m terrified! She’s no Lauren Conrad. And she loves drama and catfights. I saw her on Laguna Beach. I’m freaking out.”
Love it! What a dummy li’l Steph Pratt is.

I think that less people will watch the hills, including myself. I think there are a ton of people who watch the show because of Lauren and that it is somewhat real. Taking into account the editing it is based on reality. Bringing Kristen in is like, bringing in someone random, the Hills has little to do with Laguna Beach drama anymore and its all going to get really fake now. Great! I am sure Kristen will bring the drama but for sure it will all NOT be real. Great idea….not!
