Duck For Cover, It’s a SHATNERQUAKE!

J.J. Abram’s new kick-ass-looking Star Trek movie premiered last night at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood to positive reviews. But that’s not what we’re here to talk about.
We’re here to talk about THIS. Since you’re probably too lazy to click my THIS (really, I don’t blame you), I’ll tell you what THAT is. Basically, it’s a fan novel written about Star Trek alum William Shatner called “Shatner Quake” by someone named Jeff Burk.
But before you shout “SNOOZE CRUISE!” and peace out, read the plotline:
It’s the first ShatnerCon with William Shatner as the guest of honor! But after a failed terrorist attack by Campbellians, a crazy terrorist cult that worships Bruce Campbell, all of the characters ever played by William Shatner are suddenly sucked into our world. Their mission: hunt down and destroy the real William Shatner.
Shatners past and present on a mission to kill real Shatner! Included in the line-up are Star Trek’s Captain Kirk, Detective T.J. Hooker, Boston Legal’s Denny Crane, Rescue 911 Shatner… and so on. You get the point.
Not impressed? Well, I’m saving the best for last, so hold your eye rolls for a second. If you look closely at the book cover, you’ll note the killer tagline:
William Shatner? William Shatner. William Shatner!
